BrightSide Theatre offers fun-filled summer camps to enlighten, educate, and entertain both experienced and first–time performers. Campers are welcome between the ages of 8 and 18. There is a limit of 25 campers.
BROADWAY THROUGH THE DECADES
Step back in time and explore the magic of Broadway with our Broadway Through the Decades Camp! Designed for students ages 8–18, this exciting 5-day camp takes performers on a musical theatre journey from the 1950s through the 1980s, discovering how Broadway has evolved over the years. Each day campers will dive into a different decade by learning a group song, dance combination, and scene from a classic musical, while also exploring the unique styles, stories, and choreography that defined each era.
Campers will build skills in singing, acting, movement, and ensemble performance, while also learning fun Broadway history.
The week will also include a special vocal performance at the Summer in the Parks event at the Bandshell in Naperville, where campers will share the stage with our professional singers to showcase their skills. Whether your child is new to theatre or already loves the stage, this camp is a fantastic way to develop performance skills, make new friends, and discover the timeless joy of musical theatre.

All Camps will be held indoors at BrightSide Theatre’s Rehearsal Studio 1989 University Lane, Unit D, Lisle, IL 60532.
A chance to perform a number with our professional singers in the Summer in the Parks (weather permitting) on Friday, August 7th at 7 pm at the Naperville Band Shell . This performance is optional for participants.
There will be no refunds.
Masks will be optional based on your comfortability. No proof of vaccination will be required, however all staff will be fully vaccinated.
Camp Size min 10 – max 25 campers.
Camp Tuition is $175.

Thomas McMahon – Director/Choreographer
Thomas is ecstatic to be Directing/Choreographing Trolls Jr and having just choreographed BSTYP Legally Blonde Jr. and The Spongebob Musical Youth Edition! Thomas was last seen on the BrightSide stage in The Rocky Horror Show and Jesus Christ Superstar. Recent choreography credits include: Six the Teen Edition, Once Upon a Mattress, The Music Man, Joseph…, Little Shop of Horrors, Disaster, Annie and Willy Wonka Jr.
