Seeking adult actors. Local hires only (no housing or travel provided). We encourage Trans and Gender Non-Conforming performers to audition as genders listed as those of the character, not the performer.
Time Commitment
Rehearsals will begin April 19, 2026 and take place on Sunday through Thursday evenings. Not all cast is called to each rehearsal. Tech week is June 7 –11. No rehearsal conflicts will be accepted for tech week or any performances.
Performances
All performances will be at the Theatre at Meiley-Swallow Hall on the Campus of North Central College, 31 S. Ellsworth in Naperville. Opening 6/12/26; Closing 6/28/25 (Fri/Sat evenings at 7:30pm and Sat/Sun matinees at 2pm – 12 performances total – ***no performance Friday 6/19 – moved to Thursday 6/18 at 7:30 pm))
Pay Rate: $400 Stipend
Casting Breakdown
Leo Bloom: (identifies as male). 30’s-40’s A meek-mannered accountant. Good singer with excellent physical and verbal comedy skills. Movement/dance ability advantageous (including tap). Leo is neurotic, unassertive and utterly lovable. He discovers his inner confidence, follows his dream of becoming a Producer, and ‘gets the girl’ by running off to Rio with the leading lady. Tenor
