Megan E. Farley (Director) is a director/choreographer/actress based out of Chicago. She recently choreographed a production of Shrek at Ball State University under the co-direction of Tony Award Winner Sutton Foster. Megan has also been Amber Mak’s Associate Director/Choreographer on numerous productions at Paramount Theatre including: Hairspray, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, and their Winter 2017 production of Elf. This summer, Megan heads to New York as Assistant Director for the New York Musical Festival production of Numbers Nerds. Other professional choreography credits include: How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, All Shook Up, The Wizard of Oz, Pinkalicious!, and Beanstalk!: The Musical (Director/Choreographer). Carrie is an actor an educator who has worked in the suburbs of Illinois for the last 17 years. She has a BA from St. Olaf College, and a Masters in Theatrical Direction from Roosevelt University in Chicago. She also spent one year at the National Shakespeare Conservatory in New York. In 2014, Carrie was lucky enough to spend a summer studying at the Globe Theatre in London, England. Carrie is a teacher in Wheaton, and teaches Drama and Speech Communication as well as running the after school theatre program. As an actor Carrie has worked with a variety of community theaters in the area, including Elgin Community College, Music on Stage, Palatine, PM&L in Antioch, and the Woodstock Opera House. Carrie lives in Streamwood with two very high maintenance cats.
Clare Lillig (Choreographer) Clare is a vocal performance and dance performance double major at Anderson University. She has appeared in, and choreographed for many shows throughout the Chicago area and in school. Most recently she has played Marian (Music Man), Mary (Mary Poppins), Miss Pinkerton (The Old Maid and the Thief), and in the fall will be playing Peppermint Patty (You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown). Clare is appreciative of the opportunities the arts have given her to travel and perform throughout the world. Throughout the summer, Clare can be found dancing at Lou Conte Dance Studio and teaching at DanceWest Ballet. She is also a cantor and choral scholar at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Naperville.
Jeni Donahue (Choreographer) is a professional choreographer from Joliet who earned her BFA in Dance and Vocal performance from Columbia College. Jeni has been dancing since age 6 and choreographing professionally for 25 years. She has worked with all age levels and abilities and has been heavily involved in every aspect of dance including Musical Theatre, Pom squads, competitive cheerleading and dance troupes, color guard, music videos and show choir. Her groups, in all areas, have won numerous awards for choreography, design and visual effect. Jeni is sought after as a clinician, adjudicator and guest speaker at competitions and events throughout the United States. She is currently on staff for over 47 High Schools, 20 Universities and 12 various Theatre companies all over the U.S. Jeni was honored to choreograph Illinois All State productions of Ragtime (2005), Urinetown (2010) & Into the Woods (2011). She has also recently gotten into directing as well and has directed productions of Rocky Horror and American Idiot regionally. She is very excited to return to work with BrightSide for her 4th season. Past BrightSide choreography credits include: Cabaret, Aladdin Jr, Sound of Music, Legally Blonde Jr, Spamalot, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr and the upcoming Disney’s High School Musical.
Sarah Giordano (Musical Director) earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumental Music Education from Eastern Illinois University and a Master’s Degree in Choral Music Education from VanderCook College of Music. Currently, Sarah is in her 15th year as a music educator. She teaches general music, directs the choirs and the musical at Jackson Middle School in Villa Park, Illinois. Sarah consistently serves as a choral clinician, adjudicator, and music director. Previous BrightSide Theatre credits include Spamalot, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Thoroughly Modern Millie and will musically direct Disney’s High School Musical.
Jeffrey Cass holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theater Performance from Roosevelt University where he also studied lighting design and stage management. He previously served as the Producing Director for Circle Theatre of Forest Park/Oak Park, IL where he was a company member for 4 years. Directing Credits include: The Who’s Tommy (6 Joseph Jefferson Nominations including Best Musical and Best Director) Bashand The Distance From Here (Midwest Premier) by Neil LaBute, Burning Blue (Midwest Premier), Crazy for You, Beauty and the Beast, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Urinetown, Peter Pan and New Plays Festival 2 and 3 at Circle Theatre. Chicago acting credits include: Mystery of Edwin Drood (Jeff Nominated – Circle), Jekyll & Hyde, Is There Life After High School, Evita as well as Joseph (Jedlicka Performing Arts Center) Joseph… (Oak Park Village Players) Man Of La Mancha, The Cradle Will Rock, Lady In The Dark, As You Like It, Measure For Measure, Al Pachino!, Bring Them Home and Rhinoceros (Roosevelt University). He has toured with American Eagle Productions in 1776, Joseph and Tom Sawyer, and with Green Light Performing Company in numerous original educational musicals.
