BrightSide Theatre Youth Project Camp

Based On Our Spring 2019 Production Of FAME, JR.

Monday June 18 –Thursday, June 22
Session Time #1 from 9 AM-12 PM or Session Time #2 from 1 PM – 4 PM

Monday June 26 –Thursday, June 30
Session Time #3 from 9 AM-12 PM or Session Time #4 from 1 PM – 4 PM

At our Rehearsal Space located at 4953 Fairview Avenue in Downers Grove.

  • This camp will work with children going into 3rd grade through senior year in high school to develop and maintain a strong stage presence while singing, dancing and acting for those interested in musical theatre.
  • Using songs and scripts for the 2019 BrightSide Theatre Youth Project production of FAME, JR., students will be taught proper technique for their vocal, dance and acting portion of select number(s) for this show culminating with a mini-performance on the final day for family!

BrightSide Theatre continues its commitment to young artists with the belief that involvement in arts programs increases the development in children on both an academic and social scale while building self-esteem, we designed The BrightSide Theatre Youth Project to provide a professional and educational learning experience for grade school to high school students aged 8-18 interested in exploring musical theater. In this program, children work directly with professional directors, musical directors, choreographers, designers, and artists to develop their own theatrical skills. (Our staff has/currently works with professional theatres including, Paramount Arts Center, First Folio, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Broadway in Chicago, Drury Lane Oak Brook.)
